This season I’ve once again collaborated with the brilliant maker that is Abilu Creations to dream up something truly special: the Autumn Equinox Candle Pot. More than a candle, it’s an experience - rich, warming, and unmistakably autumn.
Inside, you’ll find a spiced blend of Cinnamon, Clove and Nutmeg, designed to conjure up all the best parts of the season. Imagine the comfort of a favourite jumper, the hum of a coffee shop, the glow of an open fire, and the crunch of leaves underfoot- bottled up in a flicker of flame. It’s the scent you’ll crave from now right through to Christmas.
Cinnamon is a powerful spice for protection, prosperity, and enhancing spiritual work, while Clove is known for its ability to banish negativity and protect against unwanted energies. Nutmeg symbolises luck, grounding, and clarity.
The vessel itself is a work of art - each one shaped and glazed entirely by hand, so no two are ever the same.
Imprinted with the last leaves of the Japanese anemone, these vessels honour the fleeting beauty of a season’s end. Each leaf whispers of release and renewal, reminding us that growth begins with letting go. They carry the presence of guiding spirits and the quiet thread of remembrance woven through time. Enduring and resilient, the anemone teaches that beauty remains even as all things change. To hold one is to cradle both memory and becoming, what has been, and what is yet to arrive.
And once the candle has burned down, the story continues: repurpose your pot as a planter, a desk companion, a kitchen jar for spices or sugar… it’s a forever piece designed to be loved long after the wax has gone.
- Crackly Wooden wick
- Essential oil blend of Cinnamon, Clove and Nutmeg
- Rapeseed and Coconut (earth-friendly and cruelty free) Wax
- Roughly 220g of Wax (a little larger than my normal large size candles, but again each is slightly different in size and shape)
- Roughly 8cm diameter and 9cm in height but each one is slightly different
Limited Edition Autumn Equinox Candle
- Trim the wick to -5mm before burning
- To prevent tunnelling ensure the melt pool reached the edge of the vessel before extinguishing, particularly during the first burn
- Wooden wicks in plant based candles can, on rare occasions, struggle to get going. Be patient with it, if it goes out keep persisting until it takes.
- Keep the candle free from any foreign materials, away from children and pets and on a level heat and fire resistant surface
- Due to the plant wax used and natural essential oils, unlike paraffin wax our wax may develop small sink holes or cracks when setting. This is a quirk of the wax and doesn’t effect the scent or quality of burn
Our wax is an EcoSystem Rapeseed & Coconut natural wax blend. It is made from rapeseed oil and coconut oil and nothing else. It is completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax and synthetic additives.
Our Essential Oils are all natural bio-degradable oils
Even our stickers on the containers are bio-degradable and recyclable.
